What to feed your clone first
The order to add material in, and why the first thing matters more than the next twenty.
Most people upload their biggest document first, then wonder why the clone still sounds generic. Size is not what makes it sound like you. Coverage of the questions you actually get is.
Start with the questions, not the documents
Write down the ten questions you are asked most. Discovery calls, DMs, the same email you keep retyping.
Then use the Q&A source type and answer them in your own words. Ten short answers you actually wrote beat a 200 page PDF you skimmed, because they cover what people ask and they carry your phrasing.
Stuck on what the ten questions are? Search your inbox or DMs for the last month and look for what you have answered more than twice. Those are the ten.
Then add your core material
- Your signature framework or method. The thing you are known for. Use Text or Upload.
- Recorded calls or talks. Use Video or YouTube. A transcribed coaching call runs to roughly 50,000 to 80,000 characters and is the richest material you can give it, because it is you actually coaching rather than you writing.
- Your website. Good for services, positioning and pricing. Thinner than it looks.
- Long documents. Books, workbooks, slide decks. Add these last.
What not to bother with
Anything you would not say out loud. Internal notes, half-finished drafts, positioning you have moved on from. Your clone cannot tell that a document is out of date, so stale material comes back as confident wrong answers.
Testimonials and marketing copy. They teach it to sell rather than help, and it starts pitching mid-conversation.
Pricing that changes often. Put it in the Who you are field instead, where it is one line to edit.
Test what you just added
Uploading is the input. Testing is how you find out what your clone actually made of it, and it takes five minutes in Test Arena.
A lot of people upload their material and stop there, assuming the job is done. Knowledge you never test is knowledge you are guessing about.
