The widget is not showing up
In the order worth checking.
- Is the clone active? An inactive clone renders no widget. Check the toggle on the AI Clones page. On Free only one clone can be active at a time.
- Is the slug right? The
data-clonevalue must match your clone exactly. A typo produces silence rather than an error. - Did the code save? Some site builders strip script tags from normal content areas. Use the dedicated custom code or footer setting, not a text block.
- Are you looking at a cached page? Load your site in a private window, or hard refresh.
- Is something blocking it? Ad blockers and strict privacy extensions sometimes hide it. Test with extensions off.
- Is another script erroring first? If JavaScript on the page throws before the widget loads, it never runs. Open the browser console and look for errors.
It shows locally but not live
Usually the change was made in a draft or staging version that was never published. Publish the site and check again.
