Where to put your clone so it gets used
Placement matters more than configuration.
The most common reason a clone gets no conversations is not that it is bad. It is that it is somewhere nobody goes.
Put it where people already have questions
- Your pricing page, where people are deciding
- The end of your most-read article
- Your contact page, ahead of the form
- Inside your course, next to the lesson
- The thank-you page after someone signs up
Places that look obvious and are not
Your home page alone. People arriving there are orienting, not asking.
A link in a newsletter, once. One mention gets one spike and then nothing. Persistent placement beats an announcement.
A link is not a placement
Sharing the link once is where most clones stall. It gets a few views, the views stop, and nothing else happens.
The clones that get used are the ones sitting permanently on a page people already visit. That is what the widget is for, it takes one paste, and it is included on the free plan.
If you have no traffic
Be honest about this, because it is the real constraint for most people. A clone cannot create an audience. Put it in front of whatever attention you already have: your email list, your DMs, your existing clients.
