One clone, different audiences
When to build a second clone instead of stretching one.
A single clone handles a range of questions well. It handles genuinely different audiences badly, because tone and guardrails are set once for everyone.
One clone is right when
- Everyone asking is roughly the same kind of person
- The questions vary but your answers come from the same body of work
- You would give a similar answer to a prospect and a paying client
Build a second when
- Your paying students should get material that prospects should not
- One audience needs a sales tone and the other needs a teaching tone
- You want separate conversation histories to look at
Plan limits
Free allows five saved clones with one active at a time. Pro allows twenty, all active. So on Free you can build a second clone but you cannot run both at once.
