Charging for access with Stripe
Connect Stripe, set a price, and your clone sits behind a paywall.
On Pro you can put your clone behind a payment. People pay you, not us: the money goes to your own Stripe account and Personify never holds it.
Step 1: Connect Stripe
Go to Integrations in the sidebar. Stripe sits under Payments.

Press Connect and you are taken to Stripe to authorise. If you do not have a Stripe account you can create one during that flow. Once it is done the card reads connected.
You can also reach the same thing from the Visitors tab of the Deploy step, under Charge for access.
Step 2: Choose how you charge
| Pricing type | What it means | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| One-time | Pay once, access forever | A course companion, a one-off resource |
| Subscription | A recurring payment | Ongoing access alongside a programme |
Set your price and pick a currency: USD, EUR or GBP.
Turning payments on switches email capture on automatically and it cannot be turned off while payments are enabled. Personify needs an address to tie a payment to a person, so your visitors will be asked for one before they can pay.
What your visitors see
They land on your page as normal, and are asked to pay before the conversation continues. Once they have paid they can come back to it.
Switch on Visitor accounts on the same tab if you are charging. It lets people sign back in and pick up their conversation, which is what somebody who has paid will expect.
Before you switch it on
A paid clone has to be worth paying for, which in practice means a lot of material and a lot of corrections. A clone built in an afternoon will not hold up to a subscription.
What it suits
- A lower-priced tier beneath your one-to-one work
- Ongoing access for people who finished a course
- A support layer alongside a group programme
What it does not suit
A first product from a standing start. If nobody is talking to your free clone, charging will not change that. Getting people to the clone is almost always the constraint, not the price.
Refunds and payment problems
Payments run through your own Stripe account, so refunds, receipts and disputes are handled in your Stripe dashboard rather than in Personify.
