Visitor data and your obligations
What is collected from people who chat, and what that means for you.
Conversations are stored so you can read them. If you ask for details on the Visitors tab, those are stored too and appear under Contacts.
This makes you responsible
You are collecting personal data from your visitors. Depending on where you and they are, that carries obligations: telling people what you collect, having a privacy policy that covers it, and honouring deletion requests.
Practical steps
- Mention the AI chat in your privacy policy
- Do not ask for more than you need, an email is usually enough
- Be clear in the greeting that it is an AI
- Delete contacts when asked
Deleting on request
Contacts and conversations can be deleted from the dashboard. To close your account entirely and have your data deleted, email personify@deepquery.dev. It is done within 30 days, as set out in the privacy policy.
